Charles Taylor is dedicated to aligning its operations with global climate goals, including the Paris Agreement’s aim to limit warming to 1.5°C. By 2034, the company seeks to achieve ambitious interim Science-Based Targets (SBTs), including a 63% reduction in Scope 1 emissions, a 97.7% reduction in Scope 2 emissions, and a 58.8% reduction in Scope 3 emissions. These targets reflect a commitment to integrating sustainability into its business growth strategies, ensuring that decarbonisation becomes a cornerstone of its operations while supporting expansion.
Solutions
To meet these objectives, Charles Taylor has developed tailored Science-Based Targets and reduction pathways in partnership with ESG consultancy Ecofiniti. The company has embraced innovative practices, such as deploying drones and remote sensing technologies, to minimise emissions from business travel. Significant progress has also been made in transitioning its vehicle fleet to electric alternatives and identifying opportunities across its sites to eliminate Scope 1 emissions. Additionally, Charles Taylor has committed to sourcing 100% renewable electricity by 2030 through the RE100 initiative, further reinforcing its dedication to clean energy.
