The challenge
- Resource constraints
- Adapting to rising EcoVadis standards
- Translating purpose into auditable policy
The objective
Our client aimed to translate long-standing sustainability values into a structured sustainability strategy, backed by recognised external validation, with three goals:
Achieve a Silver EcoVadis rating as a foundation.
Progress to Gold, showcasing leadership in sustainability.
Minimise internal resource strain by relying on expert guidance.
The solution
Year 1 (Silver)
a comprehensive gap analysis against EcoVadis scoring criteria; a clear ESG strategy, policies and KPIs; priority focus areas across environment, ethics, labour, human rights and sustainable procurement; a full evidence package for submission; and end-to-end management of the EcoVadis platform. Outcome: Silver rating achieved.
Year 2 (Gold)
strategy reassessed based on EcoVadis feedback and evolving scoring thresholds; integrated performance tracking and formalised policies across supplier ethics, diversity and environmental metrics; strengthened and expanded documentation; another fully managed submission. Outcome: Gold EcoVadis medal in 2024, placing the client in the top tier globally, and repeated again in 2025 thanks to ongoing collaboration.
